I grew up on a farm, and when I was three, my Dad sold his horse to buy me a pony. My love for animals grew from there, and we spent every weekend for years going to horse shows and trail rides. The first family vacation I can remember was to Cheyenne Frontier Days.
We were going to do some touring around Wyoming after that, but my parents say that I wouldn’t stop crying because I missed my pony, so back to Iowa we went! None the less, my love for rodeo started then.
I happened to be in Las Vegas one year during the National Finals Rodeo. We were able to buy tickets in the nosebleed section for one night, and I was hooked. We’ve gone every year since. The NFR is such a well organized and well managed event that each time we went, I was able to learn things to apply to coordinating face-to-face conferences in VA when I worked there. With the growth of social media in the past few years, I have been able to watch how rodeo athletes were able to keep fans and sponsors informed and connected about all kinds of things, from rodeo results, to advice for younger fans, and even new babies or new equine partners. As I watched the disparity between rodeo athletes (some who tweeted 20 tweets a day vs the ones who had a FaceBook post every few days) I realized that Farm Girl Marketing Solutions could help the rodeo community.
FGMS offers several customized packages for athletes and businesses in the rodeo community! FGMS has a Big Three package where I will post for you on FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram 5-7 times per week throughout the year, or you can select a customized package designed for Farm Girl to support the platforms you are not comfortable with! Prices per month start at just $79!
