Today’s blog has to be all about discussion and your feedback — because I don’t know the answer to this one. Someone asked on a previous blog where they should watch the NFR if they brought their children with them. I’ve seen plenty of kids at Cowboy Christmas and the other shopping events! I’m guessing with the Junior NFR starting this year, that there will be more places that rodeo’s next generation can watch the NFR. Below is the list of the viewing locations from www.nfrexperience.com. Has anyone had a great family experience at any one of these? Suggestions?

I’m thinking that if it says Sportsbook or bar, that kids are NOT allowed. But if it says Convention center, theatre or showroom, it may be ok. I believe Toby Keith’s I LOVE THIS BAR is a restaurant so it may be OK there. I would call ahead or ask the concierge deck for help.
Besides the NFR, there is another Rodeo in town the 2nd weekend, the Boyd Shootout @the Orleans. It’s at 2pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the 8th-10th, so you can still see the NFR at 630pm. Tickets are very responsible and you can get up close. I’ve seen lots of kids there. And some of the stars of the ERA will be competing. Such as Luke Branquino and Fred Whitfield.

I heard the MGM David Cooperfield Theater charges admission to watch the NFR satellite feed. Do you know if this is true and if so, what places show it for free if you have children with you?

I do not know if that is true. Maybe someone can help us?
